Hello,
In the afternoon of April 22, 2009, an increase in load time was noticed by Storm staff and clients.
Upon investigating, the server was being placed under a high load. At the time, there were many database sleep queries running in the server and this caused the high server load.
Database parameters have been optimized and processes have been recycled, which has reduced the server load. All the websites are running without any delay, and the optimization will prevent such delays from occurring in the future.
In addition, we have verified the access speed of the websites using the SpotCheck tool located at http://alertra.com/spotcheck.php and could see that the websites are accessible at a faster speed from multiple locations around the world.
The issue was addressed by Storm staff within 2 hours and officially declared resolved by our server team at 8:25PM.
